hi, i’m shelly
i have been creating art for years now. i started with oil painting (portraits and landscapes), and sculpture. i then found my love of the geometric. i would spend hours making large scale geometric paintings, and creating geometric reliefs. i also fell in love with repeat patterns of all kinds, but yes, mostly geometric.
combining these aesthetics i finally found my niche. a bit of surface pattern design and graphic design. i continue to explore other mediums, and techniques. i never want to stop learning, growing, and enjoying what i do.
i received my bfa in graphic design from rochester institute of technology, and my mfa in textiles from rhode island school of design. i currently reside in rhode island usa.
